Inflation or deflation, and direction of PM's

Hello everyone!

Glad to join GIM and hope to learn much from everyone here.

Hoping to better understand whether the next few years will be a deflationary or inflationary cycle, and how you feel this will affect PM prices.

I'm just not sure whether paper "wealth destruction" will outweigh the printing of new FRN's and where that will lead.

Thank you for your help...

Hi exporter and welcome to GIM.

Most everything that I have read from the people and commentators I have come to trust point to a massive inflation. Bernanke has studied all his life to defeat this moment. Once the flow of foreign capital into the US really slows then stops, the US Treasury will have no choice but to inflate by issuing more and more Treasury bills for the Fed to monetize. Most commentators believe there is no other alternative that is politically palatable.

Currently deflation, long term inflation. If stock market collapses, POG will be hit because paper gold holders will try to cash out quickly. Long term, gold is a king.
